Eternal Happiness is the mental status of a KARMAYOGI. Our ultimate goal is to be constantly in the status of eternal bliss. In order to achieve the status, one has to understand the basic constitution of  human being. A human being is born with two bodies mental-body and the physical-body. Mental body is just like your undergarments that cannot be seen by others unless you expose. All others can see your physical body only.

One can attain the status of eternal happiness only if he has eternal peace in mind and inactive ‘RAJOGUNA’, i.e. there is no sign of anger and expectation with anybody. Anger and expectations are the products when ‘RAJOGUNA’ is active. In this status, one starts feeling everything including himself as a part of the Supreme Being i.e .BRAMHABHOOTA. So his action will always be sinless.

Our body is made up of earthly elements and lamps are also made of earthly soil. Light of the lamp gives light only if it is not disturbed by the wind of air from outside and it is full of oil. Similarly one can give light of happiness to others around him only if his mental status is not disturbed by the external happenings and is full of affection.

For self development, one should always be busy creating something new with the suitable instruments like pen, brush, computer, etc. One should always be full of inner strength so that he is always fearless and not scared from anything/ anybody. In this way one is able to apply KARMAYOGA and get success in life.

NAV DURGA

NAV DURGA AND NAVARATRI

Axis of the Earth is inclined at 23.5 degree from the axis of its orbit in which it revolves around the Sun. Thus astronomically, earth undergoes two major sun operations in a year. Seasons are dependent on the direction of the relative movement of the sun. Once when the sun appears to move southward of the equator (Dahshinayana). During this period, intensity of the sun is not harsh and the environment is full of moisture. The second is when the sun appears to move northward. In this period the sun rays are more intense and the environment is more of a dry kind. The first signifies the onset of winters and the second signifies the coming of summers

Thus two times, the two seasons combine. During these periods human body becomes more prone to diseases as it is less resistant, both physically and mentally to the attack of outside environment, micro organism, bacteria and viruses.

The first union of two seasons comes in March end to mid April (CHITRA SHUKLA PRATIPADA TO NAVAMI as per Hindu calendar) and second one comes in September  end/anywhere in October month (ASHWIN SHUKLA PRATIPADA TO NAVAMI as per Hindu calendar). These nine days/nights are called NAVRATRI.

Remedial measures to combat the possible disease is the deep significance in celebrating the NAVRATRI. Our body acts as a fortress; and body’s immune system is the army that  defends our body-systems from the outside environment and foreign bodies such as micro organism, bacteria and viruses. In Sanskrit fortress is called DURG, That is why these two periods have been termed as NAV DURGA also. It signifies that we should renew our body system (DURGA) by detoxifying by keeping ast, purifying the environment by HAVAN or YAGYA. Also we need to get rid of all the negative feelings and emotions. Our nervous system needs to be strengthened by performing a specific meditation (SADHANA) each night of NAVRATRI in the manner specified for that (NAV DURGA) day in order to rejuvenate our mind and nerves in order to make our body capable to fight disease and get success in life.

There are seven centres of energy or Shakti in the body called energy centres (chakras in Sanskrit). In modern medical science, we are studying about the sensing nerves and motor nerves passing through the spinal cord and connecting different parts of the body to the brain. The Chakras are thought to represent the whole body with the Devi in different forms, residing in different chakras. Different emotions are linked with each of these energy centres.

These chakras manage our body’s energy. They receive, assimilate and distribute energy to our energy centres. Malfunctioning of chakras triggered by negative thoughts and actions may restrict the movements of the life force from one to other and cause the energy system to haywire. You could fall ill. So tuning of the chakras continually is vital for regular upkeep of physical, mental and emotional health. Balancing chakras is central to our wellbeing.

1st DAY Goddess Durga Shailputri:  Goddess Shailputri is that divine root chakra (MOOLADHAR CHAKRA) that helps devottes begin their path of self realization. The first chakra, muladhara, is located in the base of the spine. Here, the energy manifests as inertia or enthusiasm. The root chakra rules the base of the spine, the rectum, lower limbs and supports the physical body, bones, and immune system. It also controls your mental and emotional thought patterns that can cause an imbalance.

Belief patterns stored in the root chakra include beliefs about family, community, law and justice, society, sexuality, survival issues, including thoughts of retaliation and revenge, and an inability to grow and express one’s self within the family.
Physical dysfunction related to imbalances leads to chronic lower back pain, varicose veins, rectal tumour or cancer, depression, and immune-related disorders.

During the Navratri puja, the devotee focus their minds towards the root chakra at the bottom of the spinal cord, which is the beginning of their spiritual discipline. When we begin to evaluate our beliefs honestly, we find that certain beliefs once valid are no longer so, and that we can get rid of them. So, we can get rid of beliefs that work against our well-being and happiness, substituting them with valid beliefs and higher values. One way is to make positive statements and be peaceful.

When awakened, begins the journey upwards. Since she begins her journey upwards, her puja is said to ring in success in all forms.

2nd Day Goddess Durga Bramhacharini: By worshiping this form of Goddess Durga, one develops the intent of sacrifice for creativity. For this concentration is required to wards the second energy centre,  swadhistana chakra. It  is the sex centre just four inches above the base of the spine vibrating from the pubic bone. This chakra controls the sexual instincts. Here energy manifests as pro-creativity or creativity. This creation is a mental product rather than a physical one. Creativity gives one a pleasure and wonder that child feels on seeing a new object. Hence by balancing this chakra, one becomes creative. This chakra is linked with the Adrenal gland which secretes a hormone named Adrenaline. When this gland functions well and there is no blockage of energy, one is vey self confident. Adrenaline induces enthusiasm, courage, faith and strength etc. and prepares the body and mind to endure or react in cold, heat, defence, struggle, self defence etc. Under the influence of this hormone one tries to create his own identity and existence. He also make an effort to know his own self.

3rd Day Goddess Durga Chandraghanta: By worshipping this form of Goddess Durga, the Manipur Chakra is awakened in the worshipper. The third chakra, manipura, is in the navel region located on the solar plexus in the lower thoracic area, at the controlling point of the pancreas. Here energy manifests as four emotions: Generosity , joy, greed and jealousy (two positive and two negative emotions). Pancreas is the corresponding gland of this chakra. This chakra helps in producing digestive juices and a hormone named insuline which oxidises glucose and provides strength to the body. When this chakra is completely balanced one sees himself in the family, society country and everywhere. His relation with others will always be cordial. Everyone likes meeting him. In case of imbalance one feels lonely and neglected. Activation of this chakra grants one the gift of speech and he becomes a gifted speaker and orator.

4th  Day Goddess Durga Kushmanda: By worshipping this form of Goddess Durga, theAnahat Chakra or cardiac chakra is awakened in the worshipper. or cardiac chakra. The fourth Chakra, anahata, is located in the chest region where energy manifests as three emotions love, fear and hatred. The Thymus gland which motivates the body to fight bacteria and viruses is also located here. Anahat chakra is the centre of love and compassion — not possession or selfish emotions — located in the thoracic region, lies in the heart, (the solar plexus) and is associated with air (atmosphere) i.e. related with Vata.  It emits a mysterious cosmic vibration as of un-struck sound. That is sound beyond the realm of senses. This gland is active in childhood and lies inert on his growing into an adult. Inactivity of this chakra may result in problems related to the lungs, liver and blood circulating system. An active and balanced chakra ensures emotional satisfaction and his heart is always full of love for everyone without any ill will for anyone.  Activation of this chakra Opens the way to self realisation. Inactivity and imbalance of this chakra may present problem to heart and chest and emotional problem.  So the worshipper is bestowed with the boon of long and trouble free life as the anahat chakra in him awakes.

5th  Day Goddess Durga Skand Mata: By meditating on this form of Goddess paying attention on the vishuddhi Chakra, which is located in the throat region where energy manifests as two emotions gratitude and grief. Thyroid and Para-thyroid glands are also positioned here which help in the physical and mental development. These glands keep on check on the level of iodine and calcium in the body and maintain the strength of the bones. If this chakra is inactive and unbalanced there may be diseases related to thyroid gland and throat and find himself in pain and sadness without any obvious reason. Everything in the world appears to him wrong. Vishuddhi chakra is the seat of art and higher forms of creativity governing the highest physical aspect of creation, art, definitely over and above other physical aspects of creation.. All artists have a pronounced vishuddhi chakra, but this centre is also directly connected with the swadhishthan. When this chakra is awakened, one starts feeling that I am one with Supreme Power i.e. oneness. It penetrates thyroid glands also and digestion increases.

6th  Day Goddess Durga Katyayani: By worshipping Goddess Katyayani, the worshipper is bestowed with awakening of AGYA CHAKRA. The Agya chakra is located between the eyebrows where energy manifests as anger and alertness. Pituitary gland (referred to as master gland) is also located here. This chakra provides soundness to the mental state of a person. One is able to accomplish his tasks with determination and zeal. He is also able to exercise a strict control over his sensory organs. Here, Devi is six-faced, representing the five senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste) and the mind.

7th  Day Goddess Durga Kaalratri: While worshipping this Goddess, one should start experiencing that energy from the sun is coming and energising the whole body. By this all the ill effects caused due to diseases get permanently over.

8th  Day Goddess Durga Gauri: On 8th day (Astami) Navratri, the devotees worship Mother Gauri by experiencing that their mind is being filled with coolness emanating from the moon and slowly their mind is becoming quiet and calm.

9th  Day Goddess Durga ‘Siddhidatri’: When the whole body has already been made free of toxicity and energised and also mind is calm and quiet, one is to pray the Goddess Siddhidatri to bestow with success in all walks of life.

These chakras manage our body’s energy. Tuning of the chakras continually is vital for regular upkeep of physical, mental and emotional health. Balancing chakras is central to our wellbeing.

UNIVERSE-ENERGY AND BRAHMN (आदि-शक्ति और ब्रह्म)

UNIVERSEENERGY AND BRAHMN (आदि-शक्ति और ब्रह्म)

Scientific theories proved that matter is no more than insubstantial fields of energy moving in a great emptiness (space) or ‘shunya’ that pervades and surrounds everything. Thus all objects and living things have no substance except as bundle of energy.

As per Upanishads Brahmn is space. So in Vedanta, God is space! This is evident in the Rig Veda, Brihadaranyaka, Chhandogya and Taittiriya Upanishads and in the Brahmasutras.

“In the beginning, there was a point. The point exploded and expanded into space.”

Gargi asked, challenging Yajnavalkya.“Yajnavalkya, I ask you just two questions. “ Her second and final question was: “What is it that extends as space?“ Yajnavalkya answered: “Akshara.“

Gargi’s question and Yajnavalkya’s answer represented the summit of all knowledge. Akshara means which cannot be destroyed, the constant. What expands as space is the most fundamental constant of the universe, the world-stuff, Brahmn, represented by a letter. Akshara is the virya-sambhruti (condensed energy) of the universe, and space is its dyu-vyapti (radiation).  In the following shloka of Bhagavadgita, Brahmn has been explained in the same line:

अक्षरं ब्रह्म परमं स्वभावोऽध्यात्ममुच्यते ।

भूतभावोद्भवकरो विसर्गः कर्मसंज्ञितः ॥

Intimate Secret Of The Universe: According to Newton’s theory of gravity,

Force of attraction Fa = GMm/R*R

The body of mass m going up with a velocity v, will produce kinetic energy =1/2(mv*v) . For the unit mass (i.e. m=1), it is equal to 1/2(v*v)

the escape velocity v from a distance r from the centre of gravity of a heavy object with mass M , is described by

1/2(v)=GM/R*R

If a body with a large mass M is compressed to increase its density infinitely high, so much so that R is reduced to near zero value, velocity v will rise and try to exceed the velocity of light. Force of attraction will be very high and everything in the universe will be attracted towards that mass point.

With the reduction of R, a black-hole must compress mass, then expand that mass to another dimension. Either that or the other hole expand the matter it has compressed back into our universe. The outwardly expanding anti-matter energy and gravitational waves created may explain the increasingly faster rate of expansion of the universe. If energy and mass are the same, and all atoms must ride a pathway to each other, then the universe is in a semi-fluid base and everything we see is what we are, God Our Universe.

This theory aims to show that everything physical in this universe are nothing but different aspects of one single source.

Brahman:  Brahman, from the verb brh, “to grow”, and connotes “immensity” — is the impersonal and immanent, infinite cause and support of the universe that has no form or attributes. Its nature consists of the three incommunicable attributes of (1) sat (Absolute Being), (2) chit (Consciousness), (3) ananda (Bliss). Satchidānanda (Existence-Consciousness-Bliss Absolute), The Eternal Changeless Reality, not conditioned by time, space and causation. Brahman is the basis, source and support of everything — the transcendent reality which is the Divine Ground of all matter, energy, time, space, being, and everything beyond in this universe.

In the ‘Taittariya Upanishad’ Brahman is described as Universal Consciousness “satyam jnanam anantam brahma”, “Brahman is of the nature of truth, knowledge and infinity.” Brahman is conceived of as the very essence of existence and knowledge, which pervades the entire universe, including every living being.

Universe is Intelligent Energy: It is compassionate, and it responds to us. Intelligence and energy is one and the same. Intelligence is energy and energy is intelligence. Each particle of this universe  has the same amount of intelligence at their total self level and within the molecular structure of their bodies. Subatomic particles of the matter are only the fluctuations of energy and information.

Scientists at Cern’s Large Hadron Collider recently announced the discovery of a new class of exotic subatomic particles called the pentaquarks. “The pentaquark is not just any new particle “It represents a way to aggregate quarks, namely the fundamental constituents of ordinary protons and neutrons, in a pattern that has never been observed before.

Subatomic particles of the matter are only the fluctuations of energy and information. In the following shloka of Bhagavadgita, it has been mentioned that the knowledge, which indicates presence of the everlasting sense of energy and information in each and every thing at subatomic level, is the excellent knowledge.

सर्वभूतेषु येनैकं भावमव्ययमीक्षते

अविभक्तं विभक्तेषु तज्ज्ञानं विद्धि सात्त्विकम्

Physical energy has several forms. There are transformations among the different forms of energy. In the process, however, the indestructibility of the energy, and consequently matter, is not affected. The principle of the conservation of energy says that energy is indestructible; it only transforms from one form to the other. In other words, both matter and energy are indestructible.

In Bhagawad Geeta it is given how everything in the universe goes back to its original nature after a predetermined period (kalpa) and in the beginig of the next kalpa, the same comes out from that original nature again.

सर्वभूतानि कौन्तेय प्रकृतिं यान्ति मामिकाम्

कल्पक्षये पुनस्तानि कल्पादौ विसृजाम्यहम्

The Hindu concept that all entities within the universe has emerged from the single source. This single source must be a SUPER ENERGY or a Universal Intelligent energy  and may be named as Omnipotent God or ADI-SHAKTI. Everything in the universe has been created with the  transformation of energy to matter and viceversa  by applying intelligence.

MOTHER UNIVERSE ENERGY (माँआदिशक्ति)

      MOTHER UNIVERSE ENERGY (माँआदिशक्ति)

Adishakti

Human race has always remain fascinated about the universe. What is it’s source? From where has the universe emerged? The answer lies in the fact that Energy is universal and universe is nothing but energy. Since energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, it can safely be considered that Universe was never created, Universe will never die. Universe has been in existence always, and will be in existence always. Existence is the universe. There never was a time it did not exist, and there never will be a time it would not exist. The universe is created from the Energy which pervades everywhere and had existed on its own all along throughout a timeless eternity in one or other form of the energy. So, it can be easily inferred that it is the Supreme Energy that is being recognized as the Super power or Supreme God/ Goddess. Adishakti is the name given as per Indian mythology.

Modern science explained this with the help of “Bigbang theory”.

“Bigbang Theory”& “Cosmic Inflation Theory: Bang is the huge energy created with the collision of subatomic particles (called hydrons) like protons and/or neutrons. The Universe blasted out of an infinitely compressed point, or singularity. The Big Bang singularity is a point of zero volume, but very high mass, which makes the density infinite. This singularity contained all of the matter and energy in the Universe. This singularity contained all of Big the matter and energy in the Universe. They are thought to exist at the core of “black holes,”  that are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually compressed into infinite density  The Big Bang itself created space, time, and all of the matter and energy we know today. It continued inflated and expanded and cooled. During a period of radiation only one unified force governed all physical interactions.

Physicist Nikodem Poplawski at Indiana University conjectured that when a black hole forms upon the collapse of a dying star, a universe is born at the same time from the white hole on the other side of the “wormhole”.”Our universe could have itself formed from inside a black hole existing inside another universe,”

According to Relativity Theory, space and time did not exist at zero moment of the Big Bang. Relativity Theory stipulates that space-time came into being later, evolving together with the expanding universe after the Big Bang.

If we look back over the 20th century, we can identify two pillars on which our current theories rest. These are two great physical theories to know about the universe:

  1. Quantum mechanics: This applies to the very small: atoms, subatomic particles and the forces between them. These tiny molecules are further composed of still smaller atoms that are made of even smaller electrons and protons moving through space in charged energy fields. These tiny molecules are further composed of still smaller atoms that are made of even smaller electrons and protons moving through space in charged energy fields.
  2. Einstein’s general theory of relativity: This applies to the very large: stars, galaxies and gravity, the driving force of the cosmos. In 1905, Einstein proved that energy and mass are related. He propounded the theory of relativity. Equation states that a tiny amount of mass can convert into a colossal amount of energy. Where E stands for the energy of a particle, m its mass and c, the universal constant, the velocity of light. It suggests that mass and energy are mutually convertible. Transformation of energy takes place.

Nav-Durga after Mahalaya: In India Nav-Durga is celebrated just after Mahalaya. There is a tradition of worshiping Our Mother Universe in the form of Durga Adi Shakti who comes in just after the Mahalaya where we pay regards to our ancestors (“dying stars”) who are from the other universe.

There is a tradition to perform Kalash Sthapana (कलश स्थापना) and Pious Lamp called Jyoti (ज्योति) indicating the symbols of matter and Energy.

Good Successful Human being

GOOD SUCCESSFUL HUMANBEING

A good human being: A good human being is

  • honest to himself and
  • sensitive to the needs of others.

An emotionally honest person is a product of an upbringing that infuses a sense of self-worth.

People lacking self-worth: People can lack self-worth because of a Freudian rejection in their infancy. To overcome their feeling of smallness or insecurity , people control those emotionally or socially weaker than them.

Characteristics of a good person

  • The good individual stands liberated from the control chain, from thought systems that divide people.
  • He tends to be free of malice, fear, and inner turmoil -all of which arise from carrying the burden of the past. The past can be overcome only by coming to terms with it.
  • The good individual is an ardhanarishwar, possessing the
  1. traditional masculine attributes of fearlessness and direction and
  2. the feminine traits of compassion and accommodation.

But to have the right instincts all through life and avoid attrition of inner strength, a good individual needs a supportive social order. The free individual needs to engage with society to maintain his freedom.

The flux in this negotiation -`neither this nor that’ (नेति नेति) -in Upanishadic terms embodies the richness of existence.

Reinventing self : It is not necessary that a good human being will always get success in life. In order to be successful he is to remain himself reinventing. According to situation in which he is placed and the environment, he is to remain upgrading his own skill and acquire knowledge not only in his own field but also in the related areas.

Upgrading his knowledge and skill: Success never comes to those who sit back and wait for a miracle. Gone are the days when taking a higher degree was sufficient to get a job and sustain with it for the rest of your professional life. With newer technologies coming in, by the time you graduate out of college, your skills become outdated; so, you need to constantly update yourself to avoid being obsolete in the system. You need to have an insatiable desire to learn and explore skills.

  1. For getting success, it has become crucial to constantly upgrade his skill set to stay marketable.
  2. One needs to be contemporary in the known fields and also a quick learner of ‘new’ avenues and aspects.
  • One needs to be proficient with the e-world and stay abreast with the happenings in the virtual world.“

Updating in related areas: The key to professional growth at different levels is higher domain knowledge in narrowly defined verticals at lower levels, and appreciation of diverse verticals at senior levels. While there are people who want to jump and hop to newer jobs to go up the ladder, the real success comes when you start challenging yourself within a given set-up. You can make optimum use of online platforms to explore and learn new courses and skills; participate in communities and group activities and discussions to understand newer perspectives; and make sure intellectual stagnancy never seeps in,

Universal Intelligence Lord Ganesha

UNIVERSAL INTELLIGENCE

The universe is a group of atoms and different energies. This universe would be in chaos if there was no supreme governing body with super intelligence for governing these diverse groups of entities. In Sanskrit language these entities or groups are called Gana. So, this body of super intelligence has been termed as lord of the group or Ganesh.  In other words the Lord of all these groups of atoms and energies is Ganesha.Ganesh is the supreme consciousness that pervades all and brings order in this universe. Ganesha is the same energy which is the reason for this universe.

It has been created by  the energy from which everything manifests and into which everything will dissolve. It is therefore available in Indian scriptures that Ganesha was born of the `dirt’ of Adi Shakti, as she bathed. Adi Shakti Parvati removed the dirt from her body and created a boy out of it. She then asked him to keep guard while she bathed. When Shiva returned, the boy did not recognize him and obstructed his passage. So Shiva chopped off the boy’s head and entered. Parvati was shocked when she saw this. She explained to Shiva that the boy was their son and pleaded with Shiva to save him at all costs. Shiva then instructed his helpers to go and get the head of someone who was sleeping with their head pointing to the north. The helpers then got the head of an elephant, which Shiva affixed to the boy’s torso and Ganesha was born!

Through this story Rishis wanted to convey that when the matter and energy both are existing, there must be intelligence in the form of supreme law to govern the system of the universe. Since both the matter and energy are existing in the system of the universe, the intelligence in the form of supreme law ( i.e Ganesha) also should be such that it has share of both the matter and energy.

Ganesha is venerated as the first deity, the first step to the phenomenal experiences of the world of spirit. Sages foresaw obstacles in cosmic progress, and installed Shiva and Parvathi’s firstborn, Ganesha, as the god to be invoked for removal of obstacles in the path of success, Vighneswara. He’s called Vinayaka, the supreme leader. Our ancient Rishis chose to express Divinity in terms of stories and symbols so that normal people can understand and give priority to intellect and intelligence whenever they wish to start performing any action. Ganesha is depicted generally in a seated pose, signifying that in him, the mind and intellect are totally integrated. The pose also resembles that first primeval cosmic sound in Sanskrit: Aum. His large body is symbolic of the entire cosmo

Head of elephant symbolizes the system having great sensors for sensing the matter and great head to understand and decide for the best use of matter and energy. Ganesha’s elephant head is symbol of the intellectual capacity and immense wisdom and Knowledge one must have to understand the Supreme Truth. Wisdom is something that comes out of independent thinking and reflection. This can happen only when one has taken in knowledge through the great senses like large ears and Knowledge and long trunk like nose, i.e. the organs that can sense from the distance. The wise person hears all and smell its characteristics from distance.

It also symbolises that even the wisest people are always open to hearing fresh ideas and opinions. In other words, the wise are those who always keep an open mind.Ganesha

Emerging from the Lord’s head is the elephant trunk.  An elephant’s trunk has the strength to uproot a tree as well as the finesse to pick up a needle. This is symbolised by the trunk that can lift a log of wood, and a blade of grass. Ganesha’s trunk symbolises the fact that the wise person has both immense strength and fine discrimination.
Our intellect is of two kinds, gross and subtle.

  • The gross intellect is used to discriminate between pairs of opposites in the world; black and white, hard and soft, easy and difficult.
  • The subtle intellect, on the other hand, discriminates between right and wrong; permanent and impermanent and is colloquially called the conscience.

Ganesha has only one tusk; the other is shown broken. The two tusks are symbolic of right and wrong. But one tusk is broken, meaning that as the perfect student, he has gone beyond the pairs of opposites, beyond the subjective and objective -to a higher plane of consciousness. The broken tusk also symbolises that nothing is too precious to be sacrificed for intellectual progress. Also the symbolism of the broken tusk is that the wise person is beyond duality and signifies one-pointedness. Wisdom allows us to see all as one and ourselves an integral part of the whole.
Ganesha’s big belly represents space, generosity and total acceptance. The mastermind has to digest all experiences of life. Even the implements Ganesha wields are symbolic. He carries in his hands, the ‘Ankusa’ (signifying awakening) that represents the annihilation of desire with the axe of spirituality. The modak symbolises the happiness and joy a seeker derives from the spiritual pursuit. The Lord’s posture with one foot on the ground and the other folded up conveys to us that while we must operate in the world there must also be a constant alignment with Atman in and through all our ground to earth experiences.

Ganesha is shown seated on a rat. The reason for saying that Ganesha ‘rides’ on the rat is that the rat is among the greediest of all animals. It will keep nibbling at whatever is available, eating everything it can.  Scientifically, too, the rat’s teeth keep growing and it has to keep chewing on something to keep these within limits. The rat is a symbol of our senses, which are never satisfied. They crave new experiences, new tastes. Left uncontrolled, they keep growing forever. The wise person rides on his senses. He keeps them under control. The knowledge of the infinite Self can be communicated through the finite equipments of body, mind and intellect.

Ganesha is the deity closest to physical creation, the swami of ridhhi and siddhi. This indicates that it is the Super intelligence that controls all the riddhi and siddhi, a speck of dirt of the phenomenal force of the Mother. Riddhi is the force responsible for prosperity and abundance all material riches and luxury pertaining to the five senses. Siddhi refers to spiritual powers, including extra-sensory perception, and thought manifestation.

Initial Universal Intelligent Energy

Hindu tradition believes that the entire cosmos is a combination of Shiva and Shakti. Shiva represents tangible matter and Shakti, intangible energy and qualitative aspect associated with matter. Mass and energy are interconvertible. Shiva and Shakti are also deeply interrelated; they cannot be separated.

The particle is like Shiva and the charge, spin, mass energy and such parameters are like Shakti. Looking for the Higgs-Boson particle is like looking for Shiva in Shakti — finding the cause of the particle’s mass — when actually they are both just different manifestations of the supreme unity. The supreme knowledge — unification or segregation of Shiva and Shakti — cannot be studied or experimentally verified. It has to be experienced. Ardha-Narishvar form of Shiva-Shakti is the combination of matter and energy with which the universe is formed after inflation and expansion from the Super energy or ADI-SHAKTI.
